Our Company History
In
2001
,
after working for years carving stone in local cemeteries
,
and monument shops, John Ridenbaugh
decided to build a monument shop in Newark and produce stones locally, helping the area monument dealers who do not carve their own stone. His
intent was
to also assist a dealer in Michigan with his workload, but local demand prevented the wholesale end from ever starting.
The first stone was cut at Artistic Memorials & Monuments in 2003,
and mostly through referals and satisfied customers, Artistic has grown ever since.
